Once upon a time there was a girl who loved making things pretty. This desire to make the world around her more appealing started at a young age on long summer days sewing with her grandmother and drinking iced tea. She grew up into a girl who loved painting, tinkering, designing clothes, and of course making artwork. She began pursuing a BFA in Interior Architecture & Design from Academy of Art in San Francisco.
Somewhere along the way, she discovered the process of printmaking and fell deeply in love. The combination of her crafty background, and desire to create beautiful fine artwork has resulted in the artwork and homewares seen here.
Christine is deeply inspired by Scandinavian Design, Art Nouveau, and the Handmade Revolution. All work created by Christine Sharp-Crowe is made using ethical materials and practices. She exclusively uses non-toxic, water based inks and uses natural fabrics in all of her homewares.
Sharp-Crowe is also the organizer of Indie Emporium, an art/craft/fashion show that takes place each fall in Tulsa. She is the founder of make:Tulsa, and a founding member of the Tulsa Craft Mafia. Sharp-Crowe also blogs and sells handmade goods at her other site, weatherandnoise.net.
